Dear Mr. and Mrs. Werner,
A couple weeks ago you came to Wautoma High School, and shared your story
with me and my classmates. I just wanted to take the time to thank you.
Although I already have the vaccine your presentation was very informative
and touching. I did not know Becky, but from what I hear, she was an amazing
girl. She appeared to be beautiful inside and out. I am so sorry about your
lose, you and your family have been in my prayers. I just wanted you both
to know that what you are doing is wonderful. You are changing peoples lives.
Not only by convincing them to get the vaccine, but also changing the way
we look at things. Your presentation really taught me that I need to appreciate
what I have. Your both wonderful people and what you are doing is really
making a difference. I also wanted to tell you that Becky's Garden is beautiful!
I know once summer comes, I will never look at a butterfly the same. Thanks
again for sharing your story, God bless you and your family.

Thank you for bringing your story to Waukesha North yesterday. You came to tell us about meningitis, and share your story, as hard as it was. In the process, you managed to offer me the greatest gift of all: Becky. Thank you for that.

Dear Bob,
As a teacher and parent, I wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful
presentation today on meningitis. I have three children myself and I now
know they will have the vaccination for sure. Your story was so inspirational...I
don't know if there were many dry eyes in the auditorium; I know mine weren't.
The relationship you had with your daughter said it all...how lucky you
were. I know your story left an impression with the students today and we
appreciate you taking time to spend it with us. Becky's life is definitely
living on by all the good you are doing. Thank you again.

Dear Mr. Werner,
Hello! I know you don’t know me, but I’m one of the students
you came and talked to about Becky and Meningitis. I go to Waukesha West,
and you talked to me and my health class a couple of days ago. Recently,
I had to write about someone who has inspired me, and right away I thought
of your story and knew that I had something to write about. Before you read
the essay I had to write, please know that I wrote it before I went onto
your website. So in my essay I address you as "the man whose name I
don’t even know", and I’m really sorry if that offends
you in any way, but I just want you to know that since I’ve gone to
the website I remember your name. I thought maybe you wanted to read this
essay so you could know how much you’ve influenced me and my friends
too. You’re doing so much for people. Thank you so much!

Hi Mr. Werner,
I have a freshman daughter at Waukesha West who was in a class you gave
a speech to. I want to Thank You for taking the time to speak to the class.
I'm sure that this is a very hard thing to do. I know that my daughter was
sad to hear of your situation. I will keep you & your family in my prayers.
I pray that you would be blessed by all of your efforts. The timing of your
speech was truely a blessing. I know my daughter had her check up today.
This meaning any shots that would be needed. She is so terrified of shots.
Today she had a calmness that I had never seen before. Thank you again for
taking the time & reaching out to others.
p.s. My daughter was so moved by your speech. She said she thanked you after
class.
Keep up the great work !!!!
Blessings,
Brenda

Mr. Werner...
Thank you for speaking to our class about meningitis. Becky's story really
touched me. I learned a lot. I have already been vaccinated, but now I am
asking all my friends if they have too. You are an extremely strong person
to share such a tragic event. You are making this world a better and healthier
place. Thinking and praying for you and your family.

Hello,
Im Katie. A freshman at Waukesha West High School in Wisconsin. Today the
father of Becky came to our health class and told us the story of the sad,
emotional, but inpirational story of Becky "the Butterfly."
The story of Becky's life inspired me so much. It brought warmth to my heart,
as well as sadness, but it made me realize the importance of Menangitis
shots and how it can have such a huge impact on not just one person, but
millions of people.
The reason of my e-mail is that I just wanted to thank you so much for coming
to Waukesha West High School and that you've inspired me so much to go on
and tell people about this and to get them to be more informed about it.
So thank you so much!
Love,
Katie

I would love to help too. Anything you need me to do I would love to be
apart of it. I have had some many people come up to me and say that they
are really touched be Becky's story and they are so happy that Bob came
in to speak today and that Bob was the best speaker that we have ever had
here in all the years we have been doing this. I would like to thank you
Bob for coming in and telling Becky's story and I know that Becky would
be so proud of you guys. Thanks again and let me know if I can help.
